Hello!
If you have tried to access this website in the past few months you may have noticed it wasn't here. Internet pirates had their way with her but she's ours again and we have some things to tell you.
Head over to bandcamp or noisetrade right now and download an absolutely free EP of unreleased material. Starting today we will be posting a free EP of B-Sides and Demos each and every Monday leading up to the release of our new album, "Good Morning, Every Morning", out 3/13.
4 free unreleased songs every week for 4 weeks. 4 x 4 = 16. Party with some new cub.
On March 13th we will be releasing our 3rd album, "Good Morning, Every Morning". It will be available through iTunes and you will be able to purchase hard copies through our website. We are very proud of this album and have spent over a year writing and recording it. The track listing goes a little something like this:
1. Cheer Up, Rich (Go On)
2. Classic
3. Directions
4. All My Life
5. Good Lord!
6. In My Prime
7. The Jinx
8. O Compass
9. Free At Last
10. The Murder Ballad
11. Blow Up Big
12. 3 Records Deep
13. Good Morning, Every Morning
14. Ain't Love Grand
15. I've Been Around
And there ya have it, 15 songs in all. We have been playing quite a few of them at our shows over the past year, though, we haven't played enough shows. Which brings me to Eleanor.
Eleanor is our brand new shiny dark blue van and she wants to help us play more shows than ever, all over the place. Which brings me to shows.
Upcoming shows:
2/21 Mercy Lounge (Nashville, TN)
2/24 The Basement (Nashville, TN)
3/15 Preservation Pub (Knoxville, TN)
3/16 The Rex Theater (Pittsburgh, PA)
"Good Morning, Every Morning" CD Release show w/ Gene The Werewolf and Of An Empire
3/17 Masonic Hall (Altoona, PA)
3/24 The 5 Spot (Nashville, TN)
We will be adding more and more shows in more and more cities so keep an eye out and we'll be seeing you in your town. Also, please contact us at bearcubclub@gmail.com if you'd like to see Bear Cub in your town, we'd love to see (maul) you.
More things:
Here is a music video for "I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You" shot and chopped by Allen Clark.
We intend to update this page (now that we rightfully own it again) frequently.
See you at a show!

This Week: New gigs & Video
Our beloved bearded man, Jesse Hall, will be playing 2 solo shows this week around Nashville:
One is a "writers in the round" appearance at the Listening Room Cafe, where he'll be one of 4 songwriters taking turns, showcasing a few stripped-down tunes. This Thursday night (4/28) at 6:00pm. Early set. So come have a cold one, sit back & relax after work and let the lyrics (and the wine) sweep your stress away!
Second is this Friday night (4/29) at 9:00 at Mercy Lounge. Jesse will be playing at the album release party for Jeremy Lister (of NBC's "The Sing Off" fame).
Also, we will be returning to the Billy Block stage next Tuesday (5/3) night at the Rutledge. This is a weekly show & a staple around town. It's broadcast live via Ustream, where you can hear AND SEE us play our set. We are one of 4 bands playing & we go on at 8:30. Bear Cub (in its entirety) will be playing our hearts out for you that night. We Really want to see you out at this one, if you can make it!
Oh ooh, AND we also finished shooting the video this weekend for a brand New unreleased song that we're pretty sure you're gonna love. New tune and video to go along with it shall be revealed soon...
Stay tuned for more shows being announced, there is so much more coming up right around the bend!
