Hey friends!

We are really excited to show you our very first 'official music video' for a brand new song called, "The Jinx". It will be going live on the web at 8:00pm Central time on Tuesday, June 14th. 

We want to get as many views in that first hour of launch as humanly possible in hopes that we can get this to be a viral sensation! So please be kind & share with your friends after you watch it. :)

Don't Forget! 2 shows this week in Nashville

We have 2 great shows for you to come to this week:

1)  We are headlining at Mercy Lounge TONIGHT.  We are sharing the bill with The Smoking Flowers, Allen Thompson Band, & Oh No No.  Show starts at 8:30, we go on at 10:30.  $5 will get you in to see all 4 bands - what a deal!  We'd really love to see some warm bodies & friendly faces at this show.  So get your double-shots of espresso in (or a nap) & come party with us tonight at Mercy Lounge.

2)  We'll be playing at The Rutledge TOMORROW night.  We are opening for The Compromise and Jonathan Sexton & the Big Love Choir.  This is a fantastic line-up.  We'll be going on around 8:30, if that time works better for ya.  $5 cover.

This Week: New gigs & Video

Our beloved bearded man, Jesse Hall, will be playing 2 solo shows this week around Nashville:
One is a "writers in the round" appearance at the Listening Room Cafe, where he'll be one of 4 songwriters taking turns, showcasing a few stripped-down tunes.  This Thursday night (4/28) at 6:00pm.  Early set.  So come have a cold one, sit back & relax after work and let the lyrics (and the wine) sweep your stress away!

Second is this Friday night (4/29) at 9:00 at Mercy Lounge.  Jesse will be playing at the album release party for Jeremy Lister (of NBC's "The Sing Off" fame).

Also, we will be returning to the Billy Block stage next Tuesday (5/3) night at the Rutledge.  This is a weekly show & a staple around town.  It's broadcast live via Ustream, where you can hear AND SEE us play our set.  We are one of 4 bands playing & we go on at 8:30.  Bear Cub (in its entirety) will be playing our hearts out for you that night.  We Really want to see you out at this one, if you can make it!

Oh ooh, AND we also finished shooting the video this weekend for a brand New unreleased song that we're pretty sure you're gonna love.  New tune and video to go along with it shall be revealed soon...

Florida music festival & music video update

Ello! We've arrived safely to Orlando & are getting ready to play. We're headlining the BMI wall street stage this evening, we play at 11 PM. If you live in or near the Orlando area please come out!

Once back in Nashville we will be filming the final portions of our 1st music video & are terribly excited about it. The song is called "The Jinx", which will be the lead-off single for our new full length record to be released in the next few months. We will be launching a new website which will be separate from this one, including new song clips, photos & a countdown to the premier of The Jinx video.

Boat Show Postponed/EP Release/Florida Music Festival

**Due to imminent flooding the Friday March 11 Rusted Root/Bear Cub show on the Gateway Clipper has been postponed.**

We're really sorry about this, but it is completely out of our control.  The good news is that tickets are still being sold to our Thunderbird show this Saturday March 12.  Admission to the show also gets you a copy of our new EP Always Be Down.  We will be playing a nice long set chalk-full of new material from the upcoming full-length, as well as songs from the EP and even a couple covers.  So come out to the show Saturday!

Also.  Bear Cub will be playing the Florida Music Festival in Orlando!  Check out www.floridamusicfestival.com for more details.  We are scheduled to play Thursday April 7 and Saturday April 9.  We will provide all the details as soon as we know.  Thanks for all the support everyone!

EP Release Party - Saturday March 12 at Thunderbird Cafe!

  First off, thanks to everyone who came out last week and made the first phase of our first music video a complete success.  We all had a really good time and can't thank all of our friends and the wonderful dancers enough for their participation.  THANK YOU!
  This week we will be rehearsing hard at the Bear Cub Ranch for our upcoming shows in Pittsburgh.  If you haven't heard yet, we are playing with Rusted Root on the gateway clipper for St. Patty's Day.  The show is this Friday March 11 and you can buy tickets here.  Should be a blast.
  We are also very excited to announce that we have finally pressed the Always Be Down EP onto pretty CD's with artwork.  Most of you may be unaware that last year we released a quick follow up EP to the first Bear Cub full-length.  Always Be Down was released on iTunes last August but until now it has not been available at our shows.  Well, henceforth it will be and we are celebrating with a special EP release show at the Thunderbird Cafe on Saturday March 12 .  Joining us on stage will be Nik and The Central Plains along with our buddy Josh Verbanets from Pittsburgh powerhouse, Meeting of Important People.

Video Shoot/Shows/Radio

Howdy!  This Friday (the 25th) from 7pm-11pm we will be shooting the live portion of our video for a song called "The Jinx" off of our upcoming full length.  Admission is FREE and we will play a live set immediately after we wrap.  Please come hang out and dance!  We're going with a 50's style theme so we ask ladies to please wear anything oldish/vintage and gentlemen to wear white t-shirts and blue jeans...if you've got a slick old shirt and/coat feel free to wear that as well.

The awesome people over at Lightning 100 were kind enough to make Bear Cub their featured local artist of the week.  It's a great radio station and as a newer band to Nashville this is an amazing opportunity to have our music heard on a larger scale.  You can tune into 100.1 FM in Nashville or stream it from their website anywhere else in the world.  They will be playing Bear Cub everyday at 2:45pm and 8:45pm.  We ask you to please call Lightning 100 at (615) 777-5100 and send emails to studio@lightning100.com requesting Bear Cub.
